This was a temporary home for the shrimps until the main tank was finished. And just as an experiment I put a plant growing in a jar of water into the shrimp beaker. Turns out this could be a good ecosystem.

The shrimp removes algae and helps keep the roots clean. And the shrimp waste will provide nutrients to the plant. The plant growth will be good and the shrimp will have nice place to hide and dine 🙂.

Later I added a few dried leafs and a old branch/stick so that the shrimp will have plenty of food and hiding places.
I know the volume of the container is very less for these guys. This is just temporary and will be acclimated and moved to the bigger tank when its ready.
